COVID-19 Operation Update
We wish to reassure all our clients and supporters of close on 30 years, that we are here and planning for the future. The last year and a half have been a round of cancellations, refunds, postponements and generally unravelling the wonderful holidays so many of you and your clients had planned and looked forward to.
Our operators in Europe have resumed operation of their tours. All have worked very hard to develop an extensive safety protocol to ensure the wellbeing of our guests in consultation with their various government health authorities. Staff on our Bike Boat & Barge tours have received extensive training on how to carry out the safety measures. These measures are available for your review but firstly we would like you to see for yourself.
Now vaccines have been rolled out round the world there is a great deal of certainty round travelling abroad again. Covid will be around for the foreseeable future so strict protocols must be in place, strong border controls and highly effective contact tracing to allow rapid shutdown of outbreaks. These seem a much more workable set of options.

Holland meets Belgium By Bike & Barge“What opportunities are there to bike safely in Europe? We (three women aged 66 to 74) chose two trips that Adrienne at A Walker’s World / CYCLING EUROPE put together. The first was unguided, Vienna to Prague. Our accommodation, contacts in the Czech Republic, support (even a cell phone was provided in case of emergency), GPS (we actually found our paper maps easier), bikes and guide in Prague were all fantastic. Biking through the amazing woods on well formed paths and coming across various follies is a lasting memory. It did rain and the hills were challenging but both were made up for with the amazing food, castles and people we met. After a few days seeing Prague with a lovely guide organised by A Walker’s World, we then joined a luxury barge in Bruges which took us to Amsterdam. During the day we biked with a guide through the beautiful flat countryside. Everything was extremely well put together by A Walker’s World and all went according to plan. This was the second time we have used A Walker’s World and once again it was a great experience.”
