Travel between Koblenz and Bad Wimpfen along the river valleys of the Rhine and Neckar. Beautiful scenery lines the cycle paths along the rivers, interspersed with famous cities, valley slopes with vineyards and picturesque villages. The stretch of cycle path along the left bank of the Rhine between Bingen and Koblenz passes through the Rhineland Massif, which is adorned by castles. At day’s end enjoy the comfort and cuisine of your 68m river barge where the crew will welcome and pamper you.

Your JourneyDay 1: Koblenz Board at 4 pm and spend the first night in Koblenz. Day 2: Koblenz - Boppard | Boppard – Rüdesheim (ca. 30 km) Sail downstream to Boppard in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Cycle through the Lorely valley to Rüdesheim past many castles. Day 3: Rüdesheim – Mainz (ca. 37 km) Cycle to Mainz through the beautiful Rheingau and Eltville or on the quiet left bank. Visit Mainz’s many churches, museums and monuments. Day 4: Mainz – Nierstein (ca. 17-26 km) Morning cycle to Nierstein. After lunch take a vineyard tour by tractor wagon followed by a wine-tasting and dinner at the vineyard. Day 5: Nierstein - Mannheim | Mannheim – Heidelberg (ca. 25 km) Cruise past Worms to Mannheim then cycle via Ladenburg to Heidelberg, overlooked by a stunning castle. Enjoy a guided city walk. Day 6: Heidelberg – Eberbach (ca. 38 km) Cycle from Heidelberg via Ziegelhausen, through the Odenwald, to Neckar-steinach. Reach picturesque Eberbach, a nice old town with narrow streets. Day 7: Eberbach – Bad Wimpfen (ca. 41 km) Bike to Burg Hornsberg in Neckarzimmern. Bad Wimpfen, the destination of this tour, looks like a classic village of the Middle Ages. Day 8: Bad Wimpfen Disembark after breakfast. Terrain / GradeEasy to cycling on paved tracts without any gradients of note. Cycle 190-220 kms in 6 days. |
