Decide each day if you would like to take part in the cycle tour, a relaxing walk, an interesting stroll through the port towns of the Adriatic Sea or just lounge on board. Discover the Kvarner Bay in your way – the countless landscapes and architectural beauties.

Travelling with you, a local guide will assist with suggestions for activities and sightseeing to enhance your holiday. Otherwise you can relax and soak up the island atmosphere. You will be given information about the basic history, folklore and cultural treasures to get an insight into the history of the country. This varied and versatile journey has wonderful opportunities to be enjoyed each day.

 

Your Journey

Day 1 (Sunday): Boarding at 2.00 pm in Omišalj & cruise to Krk Town

Check in from 2.00 – 2.30pm before the boat departs to Krk Town. In the evening we take a short tour through the Venetian influenced old town of Krk Town.

Day 2 (Monday): Krk – Jablanac – Rab (approx. 1 hour walk & 12 - 20 km by bike)

Morning cruise to Jablanac on the Croatian mainland to take a nice walk to the Zavratnica Fjord, one of Croatia’s many natural wonders. After a swim return to the ship then cruise during lunch to the island of Rab. Cycle to the island’s capital, Rab Town, one of the prettiest old towns in Croatia. Visit the traditional bakery “Vilma”, where the island’s speciality “cake of Rab” is baked then wander through the picturesque old town of Rab with your guide. Overnight stay in Rab Town.

Day 3 (Tuesday): Rab – Pag – Olib (approx. 1.5 hr walk)

After breakfast we make a short crossing to the neighboring island Pag, and the village of Lun. Stroll through ancient olive groves, and visit a local oil press for an insight into the production of olive oil. Also have a tasting of the local Pager cheese. After lunch on board, we continue to the Island of Olib, with a swim stop in a beautiful bay along the way. In the late afternoon there is time to play Olympic Games ashore. Overnight stay in Olib.

Day 4 (Wednesday) Ilovik – Mali Lošinj (approx. 45 min walk & 20 km by bike)

Start the day with a crossover to the small island of Ilovik for a swim stop in a turquoise coloured bay. Explore the lovely car and bicycle free island on foot. The ship awaits us on the other side of the island to sail to Mali Lošinj. From here we have a relaxing bike ride in the afternoon, to the picturesque Veli Lošinj; along a promenade with countless coves. The small harbour and its many fishing boats are watched over by the mighty church of St. Anthony. Return to Mali Lošinj, where we spend the night.

Day 5 (Thursday): Mali Lošinj – Susak – Osor (approx. 1.5 hr walk & 12 – 20 km by bike)

Cross to the island of Susak, a charming isle with sand dunes, to walk to a wonderful sandy beach for a leisurely swim before returning to the ship for lunch. Cruise to the artists’ village of Osor, where we take an exciting tour through the 2000 years of history. Take a short bike ride in Osor through a forest with countless oaks and native red deer. Return to Osor by bike then cross to Martinšćica, for the night.

Day 6 (Friday): Cres (approx. 1 hr walk & 10 km by bike)

In the morning we cross over to Cres town on the island of Cres, stopping enroute at the most famous beach of the northern Adriatic, Slatina Beach. Here we have the opportunity to swim, or, hike to the clifftop village, Lubenice before the ship takes us to the town of Cres. Optional 10 km bike ride along the famous beach front promenade in the afternoon. Spend this night in the ancient town of Cres.

Day 7: (Saturday) Cres – Malinska – Njivice – Omišalj (approx. 2 hr walk)

After a longer crossing to Malinksa on the island of Krk, take a beautiful walk along the sea front to Nijcive. A dip in the sea is the culmination of this little walk. The ship will then take us back to Omišalj, where the rest of the day is free to explore the city. Optionally we offer a transfer to the town of Krk, where you can experience an exciting and active afternoon with wakeboarding. In the evening an eventful week comes to an end with a cosy farewell dinner on board.

Day 8: (Sunday) Tour ends Omišalj

After breakfast disembark at the port of Omišalj by 9 am.

Terrain/Grade

Easy walking and cycling, the latter on almost traffic-free roads. You can choose to just cruise with the vessel if you do not wish to participate in the walks and cycle trips.

Meals

4 days full board (3 meals) and 3 days with half board (2 meals/day).
