Kvarner Bay By Bike & Boat

Guided Tour 8 days / 7 nights - 190km by 21-Speed Bike or Electric Bike / 225km by Mountain Bike.

Crystal clear water, craggy rocks, dreamlike beaches and innumerable small bays is the Kvarner Bay in the Northern Adriatic Sea and the pearls of the Dalmatian Islands.

There are romantic ruins, enchanting mountains, innumerable sites of natural beauty and phenomena to explore by bike.

For one week, you explore, either independently or with a knowledgeable guide, the country and its people of these unique islands. You start biking in the mornings and stop for lunch at an inn or meet your motor/sailing boat in a harbour. Then bike on to the next harbour where the vessel, awaits. In the evenings go for a stroll through an historic harbour town.

Your Journey

Day 1 Omisalj - Cres:

Join your ship at Omasalj on the island of Krk, over the water from Rijeka. Boarding is at 2pm. Cruise to the island of Cres, where we can take a walk through the old “Venetian” town in the evening.

Day 2 Islands Cres and Losinj approx. 23 km:

Tour the eastern side of Cres and past the freshwater Vraner Sea to the artist village of Osor. Continue to Losinj by boat, for another panoramic bike tour to the colourful harbour town os Mali Losinj.

Day 3 Islands of Losinj and Molat approx. 20km + 10km:

Cycle to the south oif Losinj then cross to the island of Molat for a short cycle tour.

Day 4 Island of Dugi Otok approx. 48km:

Cruise to the island Dugi Otok and bike on the coast road to the village of Savar. Afternoon cycle to the fishing village of Sali, then cruise to the island of Zverinac.

Day 5 Island Pag approx 20 km:

Morning cruise through the small islands to Prag. Cycle this jaggered by picturesque peninsula, then cruise to the island of Rab. The town dates from the Miiddle Ages and is one of the high points of this tour.

Day 6 Island Rab approx. 25 km:

Cycle along the nearly barren east side of the island. After lunch and a swin cruise to the historical town of Krk.

Day 7 Island Krk - approx. 45 km:

Bike over the highest ridge on the island to a valley of vineyards and the museum town of Vrbnik. Continue past old villages to Omisalj.

Day 8 Rijeka. Omasali:

Disembark after breakfast

Terrain

Moderate on mostly asphalted roads. Some ascents. Longest day 45 km, shortest day 15km.

Mountain biking - mountainous stages of 32 – 55 km and 200 – 900m of elevation per day. The terrain is very diverse as the islands are different from one another, hilly to mountainous with some steep ascents. It requires good physical condition.
