Your Journey

Day 1 Arrive Stockholm:

Allow time for an orientation of this city built on 14 lakes by canal cruise. Welcome briefing this evening.

Day 2 Stockholm to Södertälje 60 km

Today’s highlight is a visit to Drottningholm Palace on Lake Mälaren, where the royal family grew up.

Day 3 Södertälje to Göteborg 15 - 20 km

Early morning train Stockholm to Gothenburg (4 hrs). Afternoon exploring the archipelago and car-free islands of Gothenburg by bike.

Day 4 Gothenburg to Kungsbacka 40 - 65 km

Pass the former royal holiday town of Särö, towards Kungsbacka cycling through cliffs, lush forests, bays and marinas.

Day 5 Kungsbacka to Varberg 60 - 75 km

Enjoy breath-taking views on today's route past farms and fields, and the amazing the Li burial ground with its more than 100 Iron Age grave stones. At Varberg visit the fortress and County Museum where the best preserved remains of a medieval man's body can be viewed.

Day 6 Varberg to Falkenberg to Helsingborg 40 km

Picturesque fishing villages, handicraft and freshly cooked lobsters are a feature of this stage. In Träslövsläge stroll through the Old Town before cycling to Falkenberg, one of the oldest cities in the area. Take the train to Helsingborg.

Day 7 Helsingborg to Helsingor to Copenhagen 55 km

Short ferry ride to Helsingør and you are in Denmark. Cycle past the ruin of Kronberg Castle, then continue along sandy beaches, wonderful landscapes and forests to the pulsating capital of Copenhagen.

Day 8

Arrangements end in Copenhagen.

Terrain

Easy to moderate. You cycle on well sign-posted bike paths and gravel roads and side roads with little traffic.
