Your JourneyDay 1 Arrive Derry/Londonderry Discover Derry, the only city in Ireland with its full medieval walls still intact. Day 2 Derry/Londonderry to Moville. 38 km Cycle from the River Foyle across the border into Donegal in the Republic of Ireland. Continue north with Lough Foyle on one side and the Inishowen hills on the other to reach the seaside town of Moville. Day 3 Moville to Portstewart. 43 km From the fishing castle of Greencastle take the ferry to Magilligan Point in Northern Ireland. Bike along the coast to Downhill Beach and Demense with the iconic Mussenden Tower. Game of Thrones fans will easily recognise this place. Finish the day at the pretty seaside town of Portstewart. Day 4 Portstewart to Ballycastle. 43 km Pass Dunluce Castle, impossibly perched on a cliff top then cycle to Bushmills and on to legendary Giant’s Causeway. Further along the coast reach vertigo-inducing Carrick-a-Reed Rope Bridge. Day 5 Ballycastle. 0/10/44 km Day free to visit Rathlin Island or a loop cycle through lovely rolling Ulster countryside to Game of Thrones location, The Dark Hedges. Rathlin Island is a magical place. where life moves at a different pace. Day 6 Ballycastle to Cushendall. 30 km Cycle past beautiful Fair Head (a backdrop to GOT episodes) and Torr Head, and into the pretty town of Cushendun (location of the caves in GOT) in the heart of the Glens of Antrim. Follow the coast south to the lovely coastal village of Cushendall. Day 7 The Glens of Antrim. 25/47km Explore Glen Ballyeamonn and Glenariff, “Queen of the Glens”. A longer cycle will take you through beautiful Glendun and Glenann. Day 8 Depart. Bus services available to Belfast. Must-dos - visit the Titanic and Ulster (where GOT tapestry is) Museums, take a guided walk in West Belfast to view the murals of the ‘Troubles’.
