Your JourneyDay 1: (Sunday) Arrival Porto Santo Stefano Tour starts in the Port of St Stefano, a lively harbour town on the northern side of the Monte Argentario peninsula. Embark from 6.00pm and enjoy dinner on board meeting your fellow guests. Day 2: (Monday) Monte Argentario Peninsula - Talamone (40 km/200 m elevation) Your first cycle tour leads from Porto Santo Stefano through the old train tunnels. Reach the historical town of Orbetello and the lagoon of the same name where you may see a spectacular swarm of flamingos. Continue your cycle tour to the ruins of the fortified Roman town of Cosa then through the pine forest in the Duna Feniglia Nature Reserve. Day 3: (Tuesday) Talamone – Magliano di Toskana circuit ride (45 km/300 m elevation) After breakfast cycle through rolling landscapes of grape vines and olive groves. Pass the Poggio Perotto Lake to arrive in the medieval town of Magliano di Toskana. The picturesque town, with its two beautiful city gates invites and city walls you can walk on. On your ride back to Talamone you able to enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan landscape once more. Before dinner on board, enjoy a tasting of delectable, local Tuscan wines. Day 4: (Wednesday)Talamone - Island Elba, Porto Azzuro (20 km/200m elevation) This morning sail to the island of Elba. After Sicily and Sardinia, Elba is the third largest island in Italy. After lunch on board go ashore for the afternoon tour along a panoramic road through lush nature and rich history to Capoliveri. This evening stroll through the charming little harbour town of Porto Azzuro. Day 5 (Thursday) Island Elba, Porto Azzuro – Enfola Bay (35 km/500m elevation) This morning set off on a longer ride to an impressive view point at Voltereio from where you look down on the Bay of Portoferreio, the capital of the island. After lunch, it’s just a few kilometres to the beautiful bay of Enfola. Day 6 (Friday) Island Elba, Patresi – Marina di Campo (30 km/700 m of elevation) Today cross the island by bike. Enroute visit the mountain village of Marciana before reaching the highest point of the tour, Monte Perone. Then it’s a glorious roll downhill to the village of San Piero in Campo where you can enjoy a typical lunch with a view of your boat. After lunch and a refreshing dip, the sails will be set for a sail to the island of Giglio. Which is located in the very south of the Tuscan Archipelago. Mountains, forests, untouched nature and crystal sea combine to create a scenic jewel. Day 7: (Saturday) Island Giglio – Porto St. Stefano (15 km/400m of elevation) Today’s tour offers a challenge with great rewards as you ride from Campese in the west of the island to the central town of Giglio Castello – surrounded by an impressive medieval town wall. A rapid descent takes you by a switch back serpentine road to Giglio Porto. Enjoy the last cruise on board the Atlantis as you set sail in the direction of Porto Santo Stefano. /p> Day 8: (Sunday) Porto St. Stefano Disembark 9.00am after breakfast. TerrainEnergetic – daily routes are between 15 – 50 km through hilly or mountainous areas, between 400 – 850m of elevation. Cycling is mostly on tar sealed roads with some gravel .
