Your JourneyDay 1 individual arrival: Embarkation at 6.00 pm at the Marina di Castellammare di Stabia (NA), on board. Welcome drink, dinner and presentation of the week’s programme. Night in the port ofCastellammare di Stabia. Day 2 Cycle trip to Pompeii (14 km): Start your first day’s cycling on scenic ferry and vaporetto transport which passes right in front of Piazza San Marco for one of the most spectacular sights of Venice. Reach Punta Sabbioni and cycle towards Carole along the Venetian Adriatic coast, with numerous opportunities for a refreshing swim. Cycling: Approximately 55 km Day 3 Sorrento – Positano – Amalfi (34 km): In the morning cruise along the Sorrento coast. You cross “Passo San Pietro” (St. Peter’s Pass) and enter the Amalfi coast, where you will cycle along the wonderful road overlooking the sea, up to Positano. Its colourful houses have been built in a natural amphitheatre shape, overlooking the sea, giving it a unique and picturesque aspect to the village. After Positano you continue towards Amalfi, the most powerful maritime republic at the end of 10th century. We suggest visits to the Cloister of Paradise and the beautiful duomo then walk along the main street that is connected with many narrow lanes between white fisherman’s houses. Evening free for dinner in Amalfi. Overnight in the port of Amalfi. Day 4 Amalfi – Minori – Vietri – Cetara or Salerno (24 km) + alternative Ravello (35 km): From Amalfi you continue your cycle tour along the coast, cycling on a street with some ups and downs overlooking the sea, crossing the villages of Minori, Maiori and Cetara. It is possible to make a detour and go up to Ravello (300m). Rest in the tranquil beauty of the main square, in the shade of the Dome dedicated to Saint Pantaleone. Enjoy views of the Gulf of Salerno and up to the Cilento mountains. We suggest a visit to Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, whose architecture (a mélange of Arab, Sicilian and Norman style) was an inspiration for Wagner. You return on the road along the coast to finally reach Vietri and Salerno. You come back to the vessel and cruise to the Isle of Capri. We will have some breaks during the sailing to swim and admire the Amalfi coast from the sea. Overnight moored near the port of Capri. Day 5 Capri: Disembark with the tender in Marina Grande (Capri). You visit the Island on foot, you reach the village of Capri with its famous “piazzetta” and continue to the Faraglioni. From above the cliff you can enjoy a wonderful panorama on the Gulf of Naples dominated by Mt Vesuvius. Overnight in Casamicciola, the port of Ischia. Day 6 Ischia (37 km): Cycling from Ischia port, you will cross by bike the west part of the island among the scents and flavours of the Mediterranean sea, passing little villages along the way to reach the thermal village of S. Angelo. Overnight in port. Day 7 Procida and Napoli: We sail up to Procida and tour the town on foot with a special visit to San Michele Abbey. Return to the boat to continue to Napoli. Disembark for a visit of the city. Starting from “Spacca Napoli”, you will discover the city centre characterised by: narrow streets adorned with washing; Baroque churches and palaces; the San-Carlo theatre; the Umberto Gallery; and Plebiscito Square. In the afternoon return to the vessel and we sail up to Marina di Castellammare di Stabia (or alternatively, we reach Castellammare by public transport). Overnight in the Marina of Castellammare di Stabia. Day 8 Departure: Disembarkation at 09.00. End of the services TerrainYou will ride for approximately 300km in 6 stages. The first three days are mainly on flat roads, across the Veneto and Friuli plain, while the last three stages are slightly hillier.
