The very first pilgrims’ way to Santiago de Compostela dates from the early Middle Ages, when devotees came from northern Europe and traversed the Iberian Peninsula on their way to the holy shrine of St James.

We offer the traditional route along the Camino de Santiago, known as the French Route, in two stages of nine and eight days. The first stage is Pamplona to Leon and the second Leon to Santiago de Compostela.

Your Journey

Route 1:

Pamplona – Estella – Logrono – Belorado – Burgos – Fromista – Sahagun – Leon (390 kms) 9 days/8 nights. HIGHLIGHTS ARE: the wine route of Fuente del Vino; Burgos Cathedral, the landscape of the plains of Castille and Oca Mountains; and the beautiful cities of Pamplona and Leon.

Route 2:

Leon – Astorga – Ponferrada – O Cebreiro – Potomarin – Arzua – Santiago de Compostela (314 kms) 8 days/7 nights. HIGHLIGHTS ARE: Astorga; the mountains of Leon and O Cebreiro with their dramatic descents and breathtaking views; the beautiful city of Leon; your destination Santiago de Compostela.

Terrain

This bike tour is suited for experienced cyclists used to climbs up to 450 metres of altitude per day and cycling up to 7 hours per day.
