Your Journey

Day 1:

Arrive Blois

Day 2 Blois – Amboise (40 km):

Cycle to Chateau of Chaumont set in a majestic park overlooking the Loire River then continue towards Amboise, a royal city.

Day 3 Excursion from Amboise to Chateau Chenonceau (via Montlouis) (42 km):

After crossing the Amboise forest, reach the famous Chateau of Chenonceau straddling the Cher River.

Day 4 Excursion from Amboise to Chateau de Valmer and Vouvray Vineyards(47 km):

Through vineyards and fields, reach the Valmer Gardens of Italian inspiration.

Day 5 Amboise – Tours (27 or 34 km):

Cross the vineyards of Montlouis to reach the Chateau de La Bourdaisière. Continue to Tours. Visit the old quarter with its typical half-timbered houses.

Day 6 Tours – Chateau Villandry – Azay Le Rideau (Cycling 44 km):

Follow ‘Loire à vélo’ cycling path and reach Villandry, famous for its’ UNESCO World Heritage gardens. Continue to Azay Le Rideau and see its magnificent chateau in the heart of the village.

Day 7 Azay Le Rideau – Tours (34 km):

Ride towards Chateau of Saché, then continue towards Tours. Along the way, stop at Prieure St Cosme, which was a priory built in 1092.

Day 8 Tours :

Arrangements end after breakfast in Tours.

Terrain

Easy to moderate with some hills. Average day is 38 km to allow time for visits. Longer options offered.
