Day 1 Arrival in Cheverny - Excursion to Blois (47km)
Located just 16km from Blois, you arrive in the quaint village of Cheverny, in an area famous for its wine, wild life and spectacular chateaux.Cycle through typical villages to Blois, worth visiting for its old quarter and chateau known for its Architecture from the 17th century. Return through the forest of Russy.
Day 2 Cycling Cheverny – Chateau Chambord (51 km):
Ride through the enchanted Sologne forest, and on to the Chateau of Villesavin before reaching the illustrious Chateau of Chambord. This is the largest and one of the most opulent chateau in the Loire Valley, and a fine example of Renaissance splendour.
Day 3 Cycling - Chateau Chaumont-Sur-Loire (52 km):
Cycle to the Loire banks at Chaumont-sur-Loire where you can visit the nice château overlooking the Loire. The ‘garden festival’ where different interpretations of artistic garden composition based on a common theme, takes place here every year in its majestic park.
Day 4 : Excursion to Chateau de Fougeres-sur-Bievre (29kms):
Visit the Chateau of Fougeres-sur Bievre - a unique example of 15th century feudal style architecture. You are right in the heart of the Cheverny appellation so don't miss a wine tasting in one of the many vineyards.
